Linux Software

One of the great things about Linux, is the whole software repository setup.
I tried to open a SQL file, just planing on looking at it in a plain text editor, and SuSE asks if I want to install a specific application for it. I think “Hey, why not?” and click the install button. SuSE then goes through the various software repositories it has and finds a program called Geany, which i have never heard of. It then proceeds to download and install said program, and automatically opens the file in it.

This program is actually very nice. It has great syntax highlighting, code collapse, and auto complete features. If SuSE hadn’t asked if I wanted a special program, I would never had found it. And the fact that all I had to do was TRY and open the file, was awesome.
